With all the cool text messaging abbreviations (idk=i don’s know, bff=best friend forever) I thought that I would make up my own. DFF!=Don’t forget Felix! Felix is our compassion child that Shelter7 supports. He is from the Dominican Republic. (He is the on in the front with the yellow stripes on his shirt.) Every fourth Sunday we take a collection after class to support Felix. Our money helps give him food, clean water, clothes, etc. Please try to remember to save your money, so that we can continue to give Felix what he needs to survive.

DFF Baby! DFF
There are so many kids in Detroit who really don't have much chance of getting out of the bad cycle that they are in. When kids are not in school often they are getting into trouble. July 27-31 we have the opportunity to help at a school who provides a summer school program that helps young kids stay out of trouble during the summer months. We are going to do a VBS style event for the kids along with another church called Clawson church of Christ. I would very much like your help in ministering to the children of Detroit. The cost is $35 + $20 for spending money. If you would like to go on this trip I need $35 from you this Sunday July 12th. I would love to see you all come if possible. Detroit Missions Trip
On Saturdays during the summer shelter7 will be getting together for hanging out and building relationships. Tim has gladly stepped up and prepared some cool stuff for us to do this summer.
